synthgaze

‘Shattered Vase / Theme Song - Version I’ by Jigsaw Puzzle Glue This reminds me of those really great atmospheric 80s synthgazey themes at the end of a horror movie. I love how it builds like interrelated chapters. So good. Among my anticipated albums of 2014.

Singing the Ending by Wymond Miles (2012)

This is one of my favorite songs on Under the Pale Moon, one of my favorite “albums that came out the year before but I totally missed for reasons unbeknownst”. Miles’ songwriting, arrangements, & production strike a similar chord as the songs on Brett Anderson’s Black Rainbows do in me; this is meant as the highest praise on my part.
It’s perfect for this time of night, playing in the background as you get lost in unforeseeably profound conversation with a kindred soul.

Another Bed by The Twilight Sad

Dir: Craig Murray

Being lonely is tough sometimes, but this is incomparably worse.

Officially R.I.P., video rental store night manager position, though.
