The Conversation (1974)
Dir: Francis Ford Coppola
Throughout The Conversation, camera movements & placements are a graceful dance, skillfully gliding around the truth, much like the protagonist, master surveillance specialist Harry Caul (Gene Hackman).
Another great example is the scene where Harry divulges some personal thoughts to Meredith in his “office”. There the camera moves like an alliteration, back and forth again and again. It’s beautiful. See a very darkened version here: http://youtu.be/K9KS3PnXgQQ
